Step into a live recording environment and capture your sound in a professional, creative space.
Each Thursday, The Carpenter’s House and Tahoma Studio open the stage for short-format live recording sessions designed for musicians, vocalists, and small groups who want high-quality recordings without the complexity of a full studio booking.

This is a focused, efficient way to turn your performance into something you can keep, share, and build on.

SESSION TIMING
Sessions begin and end at their scheduled time.
Please arrive according to the Arrival & Setup Guidelines below.
Late arrivals will result in reduced session time, as we are unable to extend sessions beyond the scheduled block.
ARRIVAL & SETUP
To maintain recording quality and minimize disruption, setup timing is structured based on the complexity of your performance.
ADVANCED SETUP
Recommended for Complex Setups
Performers with larger or more complex setups are strongly encouraged to arrive between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM to stage equipment in the workshop room prior to session start.
This includes setups involving:
- Drum kits
- 6 or more inputs
- Multiple instruments, pedals, or routing requirements
Early staging ensures efficient transitions and prevents noise from affecting active recordings.
STANDARD ARRIVAL
Solo and duo performers with minimal setups may arrive 5–10 minutes prior to their scheduled session time.
Setup must be quick, quiet, and respectful of any sessions already in progress.
RESPECT FOR ACTIVE SESSIONS
Once sessions begin at 6:00 PM, noise must be kept to a minimum.
All participants are expected to be mindful of performers actively recording.
ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS
If the recommended early arrival window is not feasible, accommodations may be made upon request.
Please contact us in advance so we can coordinate timing without impacting other sessions.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
Cancellations or reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your session.
Requests made within 24 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Approved reschedules are subject to availability.
SESSION FORMAT & DELIVERABLES
Each session includes a live multi-track recording (stems only).
Optional add-ons (stereo print, mixing, mastering) are available and may be selected during or after your session.
ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMELINES
Stems: within 48 hours
Post-production services: timeline provided upon request
PERFORMER LIMIT
Sessions are limited to 1–3 performers maximum. This ensures adequate setup time, sound quality, and an efficient recording experience.
SESSION SCOPE
Sessions are designed for focused live recording (e.g., capturing a song, demo, or performance segment).
Extensive setup, large ensembles, or complex production workflows fall outside the scope of this format and may require a separate booking.
EQUIPMENT & SETUP
Basic recording setup and engineering support are provided.
Performers are responsible for bringing and preparing their own instruments and equipment.
All equipment must be ready for efficient setup within the session structure.
TCH reserves the right to adjust setup as needed to maintain timing and recording quality.
CONDUCT & ENVIRONMENT
The Carpenter’s House is a community-centered, professional creative space. All participants are expected to treat staff, equipment, and fellow performers with respect.
TCH reserves the right to end a session without refund in cases of unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.

Participants are responsible for their personal instruments and equipment.
TCH is not liable for damage, loss, or theft of personal property brought into the space.
